We're hiring a Scientist, Development & Tech Transfer! 

Nanomol Technologies, S.L. (www.nanomol-tech.com, Barcelona, Spain)  is a privately owned company offering novel formulation solutions using our green and patented DELOS nanoformulation technology, allowing the development of robust nanomedicines and tailored drug delivery systems based on micro and nanoparticles.  The company also delivers advanced cGMP particle characterization services to the pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic and chemical sectors. 

We are looking for a Scientist, Development & Tech Transfer. She/He will be dedicated to our DELOS Technology Unit to conduct development, scale-up and technology transfer projects for clients and partners. For that she/he will join the Tech Transfer team under the supervision of the Technology Transfer Director. She/He also will be responsible for equipment management at lab and pilot scale, with the guidance of senior Process Engineer, and will assist R&D projects operationally.   

Responsibilities:

• Conductment of development, scale-up & technology transfer projects: 
  • Plan and Design nanoformulation and/or precipitation Experiments using a Quality by Design approach 
  • Implementation of formulation experiments using DELOS technology at laboratory and pilot scale 
  • Data analysis & curation 
  • Coordinate with project team members and third partners 
  • Presentation of results, internally and externally 
  • Writing of reports for internal and external use 
  • Developing tech transfer plans for industrial production 
  • Assist estimation of costs at pilot and industrial scale 
• Equipment management (lab& pilot scale):  
  • Maintenance, calibration, improvement of production & auxiliary equipment 
  • Assist in Design & implementation of new high pressure equipment 
  • Training of personnel 
  • Writing & Updating protocols & SOPs 
  • Procurement and purchase of specialized Equipment & Materials supplies 
• Assist R&D projects: 
  • Oversee production procedures 
  • Ensure operational safety and process efficiency 
  • Plan and assist operations at the lab & pilot scale 
• Engage with organization (all levels) to acquire relevant inputs.
• Report timely to manager and director level. 

Requisites:

• Essential: Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Biomedical preferred) or Sciences (Chemistry, Nanotechnology)  
• Fluent in English and Spanish. 

Valuable:

• A minimum of one year of proven experience as Technician or Engineering roles in R&D, Formulation Development or Tech Transfer departments, preferably in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical or biotech industry.  
• Knowledge of Quality by Design methodology and implementation, design of Experiments, statistic data analysis. 
• Advanced user of Excel/Graphpad/Origin/Minitab or similar tools 
• Working knowledge in R&D laboratory and/or pilot plant 
• Working knowledge of current requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices will be a plus 
• MSc or PhD in Materials Science, Nanotechnology or Chemical processes (oriented to healthcare applications will be a plus) 
• Experience in supercritical fluid-based processes 
• Experience in Pharmaceutical Development or Production Roles 
• Experience in particle characterization techniques (Laser Diffraction, DLS, Microscopy techniques)
